Mountain Brook PD makes a rapid recovery with LeadsOnline’s reliable system

“Using LeadsOnline, I was able to locate property stolen during a burglary only hours after the offense occurred. I was able to quickly identify one suspect from a transaction ticket. Within a couple of days, I recovered the property and had three suspects identified and charged. The victim was impressed. This could not have happened as quickly as it did without your service. LeadsOnline helps recover property before victims know they are stolen

“I used LeadsOnline to look for a certain suspect in a breaking and entering case. Well, I found him actually selling property the victim did not know was missing! This led us to find two other suspects who helped him sell the property. Now we have three charged in the case. Thanks.”

Check LeadsOnline, recover property, arrest suspect, close the case. It’s that easy.

“I recently had a case where my victim was a sister of one of our officers. She was convinced the person who stole her items had sold them on the street for quick cash. My first response was to check LeadsOnline. The leads acquired led me to two local pawn shops. Not only did we get her items back, but I found other items that she had not discovered stolen. All property was returned to the rightful owners.”

Another theft solved because of LeadsOnline

“Another success story that wouldn’t have happened without LeadsOnline. We had a theft of a laptop computer with no suspects. Turns out it was a ‘friend on friend’ crime. A quick check with LeadsOnline showed where the computer was and who sold it. Another victim was reunited with their property thanks to LeadsOnline. Keep up the good work.”

Sentimental and invaluable jewelry recovered

“My victim took on the task of caring for her dying mother the last few months of her life in her home, but she needed help. She had a regular handyman help with the upkeep of her house, and she paid his wife to act as a caretaker, helping care for her mother. After the victim’s mother died on January 4th, she began the task of going through her keepsakes. The victim first noticed the ring that her mother always wore as missing. She also noticed her own wedding ring missing from her own bedroom that she had put away when her husband passed away. I did a search through LeadsOnline and learned that the female caretaker had pawned over 20 items of jewelry belonging to the victim and her deceased mother. The victim did not even realize that much of her mother’s jewelry was missing. The pawn shop cooperated with the investigation, but regrettably, only a portion of the jewelry was recovered. The caretaker was arrested and charged with felony theft. It was learned that she had been stealing from the dying mother and the victim over the course of three months. Luckily, the victim recovered her wedding ring and some of her mom’s jewelry, which all had sentimental value above and beyond the appraisal value.”

Suspect feeds gambling addiction by stealing property on the job

“Earlier this summer, I performed a search under the repeated transactions section of LeadsOnline. As a result of this investigation, over $75,000 worth of equipment was recovered, all thanks to a cold search through LeadsOnline.”

LeadsOnline helps law enforcement solve crimes right away

“The Lorain Police Department recently signed up for the 30 day trial of LeadsOnline. In order to test your product, I began entering serial numbers of items stolen over the past year. Without the aid of LeadsOnline these cases would have never been solved.”

Pawn transactions leads to the arrest of bank robber

“Longmont Police Department’s Community Service Officer / Detective Beth Buchholtz has the primary duty of conducting pawn investigations using LeadsOnline as a major tool in these investigations. During the course of her duties, she regularly reviews surveillance footage and compares those she sees with arrest photos. In doing this, she is able to identify many suspects by seeing photos of them. She recently viewed the surveillance photos from a bank robbery and realized the suspect was a person who she knew had been making a large number of pawn transactions. She passed this information on to the Robbery Detective. Additional follow up was conducted by other Detectives; an arrest warrant was obtained for and an arrest made of the person CSO Buchholtz identified. Not only is Beth adept at conducting pawn investigations she learns the players” in Longmont and in this case was able to assist in the arrest of the bank robbery suspect.””

Georgia police solve more crimes with major database

“I just wanted to take a minute to say `thank you` to LeadsOnline! Thanks to being a member, it has assisted me in over 36 additional warrants this year. I have recovered everything from trucks to jewelry to Xboxes and fishing poles. This is like picking fish out of a barrel!! All I have to do is log in, and I start matching up pawned/scrapped/stolen articles with the thefts and burglaries that have occurred in our County. Once I show the suspect the LeadsOnline printout from the pawn or scrap yard ticket… the confessions come easy! I no longer have to spend time and gas traveling to all the different pawn shops and scrapyards. Thank you, thank you, thank you LeadsOnline! You’ve made my job so much easier, my arrests are up, and it has saved so much time to allow me to handle the additional caseload that has risen due to the falling economy (crime is rising daily). Alabama police recover property stolen from local firefighter

“We had a burglary report filed with us. The victim is a fireman for one of the local jurisdictions. Being familiar with the area that he lives in, and suspects that live in the area I had a suspect in mind. I ran the suspect on LeadsOnline and got a hit. The suspect pawned two guitars, a motorcycle helmet, and a wireless microphone system for a motorcycle. All of the items were reported stolen by the victim. Deputies were then able to pick the suspect up for questioning. When the suspect was picked up, Deputies found a notebook (laptop), several watches, and an expensive pair of sunglasses belonging to the victim in the suspect’s possession. This also led to a third guitar that was stolen from the victim being recovered. Thanks to Leads, I was able to recover approximately $1,700 worth of the victim’s property. Since becoming involved with LeadsOnline eight or so years ago, I have had quite a bit of success using the system. I have never submitted any stories until now. I felt that this recovery deserved some note due to my being able to assist a fellow Public Servant in getting his case solved.”

Couple arrested for over eight burglaries across multiple jurisdictions

“This summer and early fall, Goliad County was plagued with a rash of thefts and burglaries. Using LeadsOnline to check on some of the stolen property, I identified an individual selling some of the stolen items in a nearby community. Then, running that individual’s name through the LeadsOnline system, I tracked down even more property, some of which we did not have a serial number for. By continuously tracking the suspect through LeadsOnline while we were preparing criminal charges, we found even more stolen property which, in turn, led us to burglaries that had not yet been discovered by the victims. The subsequent investigation found a male and female were responsible for at least eight burglaries, and at least a dozen theft cases in our jurisdiction, as well as a number of similar crimes in adjacent jurisdictions. The pair was arrested, charged, and are now awaiting trial on numerous felony charges. Additionally, we recovered a great deal of stolen property, and returned it to the rightful owners. All of this occurred because of LeadsOnline.”

LeadsOnline proves victim’s son pawned stolen property after reporting it stolen

“We solved a home burglary where the suspect pawned the stolen Apple laptop valued at $3,500. Automated search instantly notifies sergeant that his person of interest has sold stolen construction property

“A suspect was named in a burglary at a construction site. The suspect had stolen over $10k worth of tools. The victim had made initials on the stolen items. A few days after inputting the suspects name in a search, LeadsOnline sent me a message that the P.O.I. (person of interest) had sold some items. Further investigation shows that the suspect had sold several of the stolen tools. The business is holding all of the items in question, the investigation is on-going, but with the proof/evidence provided by LeadsOnline, it should end with a successful prosecution and the owner getting his tools back.”

LeadsOnline’s ability to partner with NCIC proves beneficial once again

“We have had multiple high dollar bike thefts in our area. I had a hit on LeadsOnline through NCIC. I did not get excited at first because I have had several potential hits that were not matches. On this occasion the hit was a match and we were able to recover a $1,000 bike and immediately had a suspect named. The proximity of the theft to the time of transaction gave us enough probable cause for three felony warrants. This was a big help in our arrest and a hopeful end to the stolen bikes.”

LeadsOnline helps identify suspect of unknown burglary

“A couple of months ago I was contacted by a friend of mine who works for a neighboring county. He gave me the name of a guy who was a suspect in a burglary. I ran the name through LeadsOnline for him, but was not able to find the property that he was looking for. Instead, I found the suspect had sold different stolen items from a separate burglary. The Investigator told me that he had not even suspected this guy of being anywhere near the second burglary. Thanks to LeadsOnline the owner was able to get his property back, the case was solved and now that agency is signing up for access to LeadsOnline. Thank you again.”

I arrested the suspect on a warrant for receiving stolen property under $10,000 and interviewed the suspect where he confessed to the burglary. Also, one of my detectives used the NCIC hits feature on LeadOnline and recovered two Xbox 360s, an Emerson TV, a Pioneer car stereo, an Element TV, an Echo leaf blower and a Sony PS3 game system. Stereo stolen by meatball recovered

“I had a $1,800.00 car stereo reported stolen out of a vehicle and had no suspects at the time. Soon after, I was checking the individuals pawning in my county and I noticed a Pioneer Car stereo that was sold to a Pawn Shop in Mobile, Alabama, about an hour away. I noticed that the subject who’d sold it was someone that I had arrested for theft in the past and he had a nickname of Meatball. I went back and looked at the report that patrol took and saw that the victim stated that he noticed a guy in his yard on the day the stereo went missing and he only knew him as Meatball. The stereo was identified as the stolen one and the bad guy was arrested. When I interviewed the suspect, and knew that I had the stereo, he stated that he knew he was done and he better get a lawyer. How did we ever do this without LeadsOnline? Thanks for being there for us.”

Pawn ticket and GPS data help catch repeat offender

“Earlier this month, one of our fine deputies took a burglary of a motor vehicle report. After reading the report, I found no serial numbers for the Magellan GPS that was stolen from the vehicle, so I figured this would be another inactive case. But the next day, I decided to check LeadsOnline and entered just the words `Magellan GPS` in the description and Baytown, TX, for the city where I thought I might find my suspect. While scrolling through the list of several names, I found one for a suspect my partner and I had dealt with in the past. This suspect was good for some vehicle burglaries in the past and he had just recently pawned an item I was looking for. So, I printed the ticket from my computer and went to the pawn shop. Once at the pawn shop I asked the clerk to bring me the item that I was looking for. And lo and behold, I turned the GPS on and found my complainant’s address inside. I recovered the property and returned it to a happy citizen. Oh, and it didn’t take me long to convince the judge to sign off on the warrant.”

Shoe print leads to arrest with a little help from LeadsOnline

“We checked LeadsOnline for a known subject as a person of interest on a burglary of habitation and theft case. The subject broke into a residence by breaking a window to gain entry. Unfortunately for him, the inside double glass window did not break and fell to the ground. The suspect entered and stepped all over the window with his tennis shoes and took a several items of high value. When investigators approached the male subject and asked for consent to search his residence, the male subject agreed knowing that he did not have any of the stolen items at the house. Investigators knew that already and were looking for his shoes. The shoes were located inside the bedroom with the same exact shoe print as the ones left on the window. Investigators advised him to sit tight and wait for the arrest warrant to come out. Further investigation revealed that he had sold most of the items at a local business. Thanks, LeadsOnline for the help.”

County commissioner in North Carolina pleased with results of Taylorsville Police investigation

“Recently, one of our county commissioners was the victim of a residential break-in. When I arrived at the scene, I had no evidence, no witnesses, and basically no hope. LeadsOnline is worth its weight in gold

“I have used LeadsOnline in two different agencies where I was assigned as a Detective Sgt. I would estimate that LeadsOnline has been responsible for assisting in clearing 50 cases, which I have investigated over a four-year period. It is worth its weight in gold, and it I can’t see doing my job without it. LeadsOnline provides outcomes and success not possible 10 years prior

“Another great recovery this week for the Wake County Sheriff’s Office in Raleigh, North Carolina. Two stolen saws recovered and returned to the owner

“I took a report months ago on a breaking and entering case. The suspects took two chainsaws, and the victim called the store he purchased them from to obtain the model and serial numbers. I just registered with LeadsOnline the day before I got this report. When I returned back to the office I signed on to LeadsOnline, entered the serial numbers, and found one of the saws. After going to the shop, I got video footage and a copy of the suspect’s driver’s license. I also seized the saw before anyone was able to purchase it. Even though they have not yet been arrested, I found out who my suspect was through this awesome website. I got a call the next day from the shop, and they advised us there was a male in there who was trying to sell the other saw. When I arrived I found out the suspect sold him the saw in the parking lot after the shop refused to buy it. I seized it and returned both stolen saws to the owner. Thank you LeadsOnline. I will for sure be using your help from now on. I just wish I had been on board a long time ago.”

Fort Wayne Police Department finds stolen jewelry near New Orleans

“Our city and county had been experiencing a rash of daytime residential burglaries. One of the victims interrupted the pair of bad guys while they were breaking into his home. Based on his description, we were able to develop a suspect that the victim positively identified. A week after the incident, I found one of my bad guys pawning jewelry in Jefferson Parrish, Louisiana. Taking the description of the items provided by LeadsOnline, I was able to locate an entirely different incident with a similar piece of jewelry listed as stolen. I then contacted the Jefferson Parrish Sheriff’s Office, who was able to locate, hold and photograph the items. Twenty minutes after getting those photos, my victim, and one of her co-workers, positively identified two of the three items sold in Louisiana.
